Tally & Weld Mapping

Tally:

Using the manifest, we compile all the data from each individual piece of pipe to create a tally of every pipe being used on the project. We collect and verify:

  • Pipe Numbers
  • Heat Numbers
  • Factory Lengths
  • Pipe Size
  • Coating Type
  • Wall Thickness

We then asign a unique ID number to that pipe that correlates to the information of that joint, to ensure ease and efficiency throughout the remainder of the project when dealing with the asbuilt of the pipe

Weld Mapping:

After collecting the data off of each individual joint of pipe, we then create a spreadsheet that connects the upstream joint to the downstream joint of pipe, with the appropriate weld ID.

Weld mapping information includes:

  • Weld ID
  • Weld Status
  • Location of Weld
  • Bend Numbers
  • Bend Locations

Once the weld map is created, it helps the field crew continue on with their workflows and creates a line of quality control that can be double checked at any point in time.

We can also provide a scan of the strings to create a detailed map of where the strings are, and assist engineering with showing them how they will fit in the ditch.

Bore Asbuilt

With bores, we are unable to survey the welds once they are in their final resting place. Traditionally the bore sections are calculated into place based off information provided by the contractor. By utilizing the scan data of the strings of pipe, we can easily calculate the bore sections, creating faster turnover, and increasing the productivity of our office support.

Lower-In Asbuilt

We provide accurate lower-in surveys that collect information on:
